M1 Garand Clip Timing Gage

M1 Clip Timing Gage dimensioned to exact WWII spec. This Gage is used to determine the wear of the clip ejection/bolt hold open function on an M1 Garand rifle. Simply lock the bolt back on an empty rifle and slowly insert the Gage, noting the Go and No go markings on the Gage. If the bolt releases too early, or doesn’t release at all, you have an issue. Repeat this 3-4 times to get an average if it fails to pass any single test. Includes instructions for the steps to resolve a Clip timing issue. Made from tool steel with a nitride finish.
